My work is rooted in vulnerability and spontaneity, guided by intuition and an openness to the unknown. Working primarily in oil on canvas, I allow each painting to unfold in the present moment, free from expectation, as a conversation between color, texture, mark, and rhythm.
This body of work, Pelagos — meaning “infinite sea” — draws from my lifelong
connection to the Aegean Sea, where I spent my childhood immersed in its everchanging energy, nuanced color, and emotional force. Water, for me, is elemental and primal, serving as both a memory and a metaphor for continuity, movement, and transformation.
Using both palette knife and brush, I layer and meld oil paint to create atmospheric surfaces that evoke depth, fluidity, and emotional resonance. Color and texture work in tandem to convey quiet strength and subtle intensity. Each painting is titled in Greek, reflecting a deep cultural and spiritual connection, and inviting a sensory experience that speaks to memory, place, and inner landscape.
The canvas becomes the space where the connection becomes one, reflecting an infinity of spirit.
